Our Raison D'Etre

Along with my friend Anna, I am a big fan of This Is Why You're Fat. But,we be sad that commentin' be disabled there, yar. So we decided to make our own blog dedicated to our thoughts on TIWYF entries. And we encourage others to do the same.

Over the months that we have lengthily discussed TIWYF, criteria evolved into what we think makes a "good" TIWYF entry. It should imaginative without being arbitrary to the point of ridiculousness, and it should be more than just a huge portion of things that would unremarkable in smaller portions. Beyond that, of course, our withering judgment is based upon how much we think we would enjoy eating the item. Anna and I usually differ widely on this, as I prefer the savory and she prefers the sweet.

Most importantly, we are NOT AFFILIATED IN ANY WAY WITH THE TIWYF OR ITS AUTHORS. We're just fans, even though I'm sure we will get harsh ("Pah! This should never have been selected!")

I, at least, don't have any interest in retroactively creating entries dealing with older TIWYF items to make up for lost time. But Anna might, and I will say that my two favorites are the McNuggetini and Bacon Cream Cheese Rolls.
